Our First Week Back in Term Two & Potatoes

Today is the last day of our first week back at school. All of us were happy to be back in our classroom and seeing Mrs Shead. While it is sad when holiday's end it is nice to be back to a normal routine.

This week we have been learning about Mr Shead's Potatoes. Mrs Shead just told us that she looooves eating raw potato. Eweeee that's a little gross! Anyway today we are going to be making Potato People. Mrs Shead has shown us how to put the toothpicks in to hold the head on. How to put a pin in to hold the hair on and how to put on the eyes, nose and buttons. Here are some photo's of her showing us.

After she had shown us what to do we all got to have a go. Each of us had to work out how we were going to put the heads on, what colour eyes we were going to have, the kind of hair, the colour buttons, colour material for the skirts or lava lava's. Gosh what a lot of decisions to make. It's almost like being on Project Runway but this time we are Project Potato. We are all making it work!!! Here's a photo montage of us working on all of them.
